Switching to Bonde

Import subscriptions from Recharge, Skio, Bold, Shopify Subscriptions, WooCommerce or a CSV, including saved payment methods.

Bonde imports existing subscriptions from a CSV export so your subscribers keep their plans, prices and next order dates.

Before you import

  • Make sure every product in the export exists in Shopify with the same SKU or title, and that it has a Bonde subscription plan.
  • Set up a verified sending domain under Emails > Settings and activate the Migrated subscription: add a payment method template. Customers whose payment method cannot be imported receive this email to add a card.
  • If your current app exports payment method ids from Stripe, Braintree, Authorize.net or PayPal, include them; Bonde attaches the saved method so those renewals bill without any action from the customer.

Pause renewals in your old app before you import, so a subscriber is not billed twice.

Import

Open the importer

Go to Subscriptions and click Import subscriptions, then New migration.

Pick your source

Choose Recharge, Skio, Bold, Shopify Subscriptions, WooCommerce or CSV. Every source uses the same Bonde columns; the choice sets the template and sample row you download.

Download the template and fill it

Download the CSV template for your source and copy your export into its columns. Required: subscription id, customer email, status, next billing date, billing interval and count, currency, line item title, quantity and price. Optional: SKU, address, payment processor and ids, cancellation details.

Upload and map products

Upload the CSV. Bonde matches each line to a Shopify product; map anything it could not match before you continue.

Review and start

Review the summary and start the import. Progress, failed rows and the payment-method status of each subscription show on the migration page. You can retry failed rows, send the payment-method emails, or roll the import back.
